OmniTaq 2 DNA polymerase (Taq D732N) is a mutant of Taq polymerase that provides strand-displacement and reverse transcriptase activity. It can be used as the sole enzyme in RT-PCR and RT-LAMP assays. In addition, this enzyme provides 2-3x faster PCR and inhibition-resistance. Researchers use it as an inhibition-resistant reverse transcriptase, to perform direct RT-PCR from crude samples, as a single enzyme RT-PCR for blood and soil, and much more. Please note that OmniTaq 2 is only weakly detected in TaqMan assays. If you wish to use OmniTaq2 in TaqMan assays, you will need to use more enzyme or order OmniTaq 2T instead.
OmniTaq2 orders ship with 3mL of 10x Taq Mutant Reaction Buffer. 10x RT-LAMP Reaction Buffer may be requested as a replacement for the 10x Taq Mutant Reaction Buffer.
